School Health Program Launched in Rural Nepal (2026–2027)

Child Development Nepal (CDN) has launched a  two-year School Health Program (2026–2027) in Sarlahi and Mahottari districts of Madhesh Province of Nepal, targeting 50 schools and reaching over 5,000 adolescent girls. The program is designed to improve the health, hygiene, and overall well-being of adolescent girls through sustained education, awareness campaigns, and access to essential health services.

Throughout the two years, the program will emphasize reproductive health education, menstrual hygiene management, nutrition improvement, and mental health awareness. A combination of school-based health sessions, interactive workshops, and community-level awareness activities will ensure active participation and long-term impact.

In partnership with local schools, health institutions, and community stakeholders, CDN aims to empower adolescent girls with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to make informed health choices. This initiative contributes to creating healthier, more informed, and empowered young women across rural Nepal.
